Partner Educational Resources

The Family Nutrition Program focuses on sharing basic nutrition education with participants and partners. Below, you can find some resources for an introduction of MyPlate, which is the foundation for all of FNP’s programming and referred to most often as a baseline for nutrition education.

MyPlate is the current food and nutrition guide from the United States Department of Agriculture. It was created to give Americans an easy visual guide to encourage an eating pattern that includes foods from the five food groups. The recommendations within MyPlate are based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
