Grocery store tours

Want to get the most bang for your buck at the grocery store?

The Family Nutrition Program’s nutrition educators offer grocery store tours on a regular basis. During these tours, nutrition educators lead participants through a grocery store. You will explore different aisles to talk about unit price, reading labels, and finding the most nutritious items. The tours combine a walk-through of the store with a lesson in shopping on a budget. This gives you the chance to learn how to find the best deals on items you use throughout the week and how to shop efficiently and knowledgeably.

If you use SNAP, the tours also cover using your EBT card. You’ll learn how to stretch your SNAP dollars and use them to buy more nutritious foods for your family.
