Build your Own Sheet Pan Meal in 3 Simple Steps

Are you always worrying about what to make your family after you come home from work? With just 10 minutes of prep, you can prepare a simple and tasty sheet pan meal with very little cleanup. All you have to do is put the sheet pan in the oven and allow your food to cook, leaving you with plenty of free time to spend with your family. You have the option of making enough food for one night or making extra to feed your family throughout the week. You can do just this in three simple steps!

Build Your Own Sheet Pan Meal

Step 1: Pick your protein.

You might keep chicken in your #BetterPantry but you can also choose, Italian sausage, pork loin, or salmon. Whatever protein you choose, just make sure to cook it to the proper temperature! Or if you want a vegetarian option, you can replace meat with foods such as edamame, garbanzo beans, and tofu.

Step 2: Pick your vegetables.

The options are endless here! One of our personal favorite vegetable medleys are sweet potatoes, potatoes, broccoli, and carrots, but you can use your family’s favorite veggies!

Step 3: Pick your seasonings.

The seasonings on your sheet pan will make the flavor of your meal. You can spice it up without salt or garnish your plate with herbs such as red pepper flakes or garlic powder. Feel free to get creative with any seasonings you have in your pantry. Don’t forget to add olive oil to help cook your vegetables.

Your meal is now ready to cook, and it was as easy as 1, 2, 3! It will just need to cook for 45-55 minutes, or until veggies are soft and your protein has reached the minimum safe temperature. Now, encourage your family to load up the delicious variety of foods.
