Trying a New Sport

Do you play sports? What kind of sport do you play? Do you play soccer, basketball, volleyball, or kickball? What about running, or even dancing? Maybe you don’t play a sport, but want to learn how. Here are a few tips on how to try a new sport!

It’s always fun to try something new, and it’s especially fun when you can do it with your friends at school. You can play a new sport with your current friends, but you can invite new friends to play, too! Staying active with your buddies will make your heart happy and your body happy, too.

 It’s important to exercise so that your muscles grow big and strong, and learning a new sport can also help you build confidence. Playing a sport can be tough at first, but hard work pays off.  It’s fun to practice and know you’re getting better at your new sport each time you play! 

Playing a sport it teaches you dedication, determination, how to keep pushing even when we get tired or discouraged, and how to be humble and happy for the person who wins the game. Sometimes we need to ask for help when we get discouraged or don’t know how to do something, so you should talk to family, friends, your teammate, or your coach when you need advice or encouragement. If you need even more help, look on the internet for videos that will teach you certain moves or offer fun tips on how to have more fun in your sport!
