Ingredients (Scaling)

  • fluid ounces water
  • net weight ounces dried lentils, rinsed
  • onion(s), chopped
  • carrot(s), thinly sliced
  • garlic clove(s), minced
  • reduced sodium bouillon cube(s)
  • fluid ounces ground black pepper
  • Bay leaf

Lentil Soup


  • Add all ingredients to a saucepan. Bring to a boil then turn down heat and simmer until lentils are tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  • Remove bay leaf. Serve warm or refrigerate within 2 hours of preparation for later use.
