Ingredients (Scaling)
- net weight ounces lean ground turkey
- onion, diced
- bell pepper, diced
- net weight ounces canned low-sodium diced tomatoes
- net weight ounces canned low-sodium kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- net weight ounces canned low-sodium tomato sauce
- fluid ounces water
- fluid ounces chili powder
- fluid ounces cumin
- fluid ounces garlic powder

Instructions

Wash hands.

Heat skillet to medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until brown.

Add onion and pepper to the skillet and cook until soft and tender, about 3-4 minutes.

Add tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, water, chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder to the skillet. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce heat. Cook for 15 minutes. Serve hot.

To prepare in a slow cooker, add cooked turkey/onion/pepper mixture to slow cooker. Add tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, water, chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder to slow cooker. Cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours.
